Comparison
1. We use Past Simple for actions that took place at a specified time in the past, on the other hand, we use Present Perfect for actions that took place at an unspecified time in the past.
Koristimo prošlo prosto vreme za radnje koje su se dogodile u određenom trenutku u prošlosti. S druge strane koristimo sadašnje složeno vreme za radnje koje su se dogodile u neodređenom trenutku u prošlosti.
He went to Canada last year. (PS)
Bio je u Kanadi prošle godine.
He's been in Canada twice. (PP)
Dva puta je bio u Kanadi.
We met the Smiths yesterday for lunch. (PS)
Bili smo na ručku sa Smitovima juče.
We have had lunch with the Smiths. (PP)
Ručali smo sa Smitovima.
I lived in Vienna in 2012.
Živela sam u Beču 2012 godine.

2. We use Past Simple for actions that started in the past and finished in the past. On the other hand, we use Present Perfect for actions that started in the past and have a result in the present.
Koristimo prošlo prosto vreme za radnje koje su započete u prošlosti i koje su se završile u prošlosti. S druge strane koristimo sadašnje složeno vreme za radnje koje su započete u prošlosti a imaju rezultat u sadašnjosti.
I lost my keys. (PS)
Izgubio sam ključeve.
I've lost my keys, now I can't get into the house. (PP)
Izgubio sam ključeve i sad ne mogu da uđem u kuću.
She had her hair cut the other day. (PS)
Ošišala se pre par dana.
She has had her hair cut, she looks so good now. (PP)
Ošišala se, izgleda tako dobro sad.
