Građenje prostog prošlog vremena

NOTE: 

Did not = didn't

'did' pomoćni glagol 

Did he call you yesterday?

I didn't know that he was sick.

'did' prošlo vreme glagola 'do'

I didn't do my homework yesterday. He did everything to help me.

Past Simple Writing Rules 

Pravila pisanja - prosto prošlo vreme

1. Glagoli koji se završavaju na -e dobijaju nastavak -d:

                  

close = closed

die = died

phone = phoned

2. Glagoli koji se završavaju samoglasnikom + y dobijaju nastavak -ed:

play = played

destroy = destroyed

show = showed

3. Glagoli koji se završavaju konsonantom + y dobijaju nastavak -ed, a -y prelazi u -i:

marry = married

carry = carried

       study = studied        

4. Ostali oblici

visit = visited

miss = missed

watch = watched

finish = finished

fix = fixed

buzz = buzzed
